Haha I'm inclined to agree with you both. It's also interesting to note that Nina was one of those artist that had a full tour schedule throughout covid ,so I guess she thought she was invisible to a certain degree. It has finally caught up with her.
Leave your political opinions at home, and just play music. Unless those political opinions are for the greater good of humanity, and in this case it wasn't.

While I don't particularly like her brand of music or style of DJing, this move seems rash and presumptive, unless the track titles she submitted with her new project exhibit pro-Putin propaganda.
She has since posted a statement. It sounds like she did leave her political opinions at home and that's what's caught up with her
To be silent is to be compliant?
If it's about the track titles, the label should share them. Let the gossip queens have a glance
Jfc, talk about trying to put up a smokescreen. How much evasive bs can one fit into a "statement"? @O.: If one just prefers to keep silent, you don't go on blaming the apogee of determinism and that blasted momentum. Look beyond the manipulation and read between the lines.

Well then ....perhaps techno is not exempt from the sanctions ...even if she is totally innocent .

She should've just stayed silent; I'd understand that position much more considering she and her family still live in Russia. In this case, silence isn't necessarily compliance.
I'm more interested in why the label made the move, anyway, and whether it was because of the project. If it was purely because of her silence, I think that's wrong.

She hasn't been "cancelled", you idiot. Her label has been dropped by a distribution company, which just means their records won't get distributed to a few record stores until another distribution company inevitably picks them up. This doesn't mean her DJing career is affected or she's lost any gigs.
