If you’d asked me for a trance wish list over the years, near the top would have been ‘the return of dumonde’. Never thought it’d happen of course yet randomly stumbled on this last night.
Not their best or anything but compared to modern cheese releases it’s far better.

I know the the dutch were at the forefront of uplifting trance, but Dumonde and their signature bassline still brings goosebumps.

Yep! The most recognisable signature ever (for me). Never look back was one of the first tracks i downloaded from TA.

Interesting, thanks! Where have they been the last two decades? I know mutschall was mastering other people’s tracks for a while.
For me, their 1997-2005 era was their best years. Specially 1999-2002. Everyone talks about Tomorrow or Never Look Back, but Atmosphere is my favorite track from them.

I remember that Symsonic track they dropped at the Government in a Toronto set rip. Wow

There's a word that sums up this sort of behaviour, and that word is 'reject.'

Wasn't it unreleased at the time? It must've been crazy hearing it when it was still a novelty

Atmosphere is an interesting selection because it's underrated compared to their more popular singles, but it's still top tier like their other tracks.

I thought i was the only one!!!! Listen to it all the time.
Was lucky enough to play it once to a good crowd while warming down for the main act. Has been in my top 10 since release. Disappointed there’s been no remixes.

It would be cool a Cosmic Gate Remix (from that era).
Is a banger closing track for a set, in my opinion.
