Dunno AvB is signed to VANDIT??

I thought he had his own label, but then I go on to Vandit's website and lo and behold he's on the artist roster...

SOMEONE PLEASE CLARIFY THIS FOR ME, OR I'LL DIE...

That's probably because his and Tiesto's track Alibi - Eternity was released on Vandit. Doesn't mean he has any other obligations as far as I know.

now why the hell would the same song be released on two different labels??

and what purpose, connection, or responsibility would AvB to do a song for Vandit (unless he's doing a remix for, say, a PvD track)??

PvD loved Eternity (he played it everywhere) so he picked it up for re-release on his label. Nothing unheard-of in the trance world, big tunes often do the rounds on various labels before all's said and done. Armin (and Tiesto) didn't specificially create the tune for Vandit, and yes, it was initially released on Armind.

Yeah, loads of tracks are released on multiple labels. The most obvious example was during 1998/1999 when all of the big trance tunes released on positiva like Ayla, veracocha etc were first released on a label called Additive. Additive has now gone a bit funky i.e PANTS.

And another reason is the country of the label! Vandit is a german label and armind a dutch so if you would like to buy the vandit release in the netherlands it will cost you more

some people are so thick. armin sold the track to the label vandit so it could be released in germany. armind is the label whcih released it in holland. licenses tend to last a yeahr to 18 months cos of expense..

i.e. when The sound of goodbye came outon armind, armin sold the rights to cream in the uk to release it. the license has run out and so armin has sold it to nebula / virgin this year for a re-release.

when the track is licensed out, the record company cand do whatever they like with the track i.e. commision mor remixes etc.

i.e. when airscape - l'esperanza came out in the uk on the xtravaganza label, alex gold (owner of xtrav) had paid for the licenses and then went and spent more omney commisioning both armin adn tiesto to remix it (in the hope it would sell more etc)

simple.
