Need Advice Whether I Should Buy This CD Mixing Console?
Heya Trancers!
I need some advise on a CD Mixer someone is offering to sell me. It's a Numark CD Mix 2 console, and they want $300.00 US for it. It's in great shape. Should I buy it, and is it a good price?
Thanks for your responses...

Personally, i would be a bit weary on buying second hand cd decks. They are not as durable as regular turntables, so if something goes wrong in a couple of months, you have to pay out of pocket for repair or replace them.
You can get seperate new cd players for cheap, brand new. Check online, go to pro audio stores, compare and negotiate. You can get decent cd decks for 199 a piece.
By getting them new, from an authorized service center, you know that you will be covered on a 1yr or even 3yr (certain manufactures) warranty.

I'm afraid I'll have to agree with bachatu.......
who knows what hell those decks have been through..... it's not like Technics (I heard those turntables are built like tanks!)......
and new ones aren't that expensive.......
I can get (and I'm going to get) a pair of NEW Pioneer CDJ-100s for 300$ US!!!! (www.pssl.com)
sounds better, doesn't it?
oh! and about the warranty, Gemini is the only manufacture I know with a 3 year warranty.......

yeah dont buy used CD players, I made the mistake with my first pair and the instant start was nonexistent half the time. And I dont really suggest getting the CDMIX unit. The built in mixer is just soso and I dont even think is has channel EQ's I know the CDMIX 1 unit didnt. Maybe the newer one does but it is still limiting since its only 2 channel. Just buy a decent dual deck and a nice mixer, you'll like the result better.
