Just had to vent my frustration over the continued stupidy of the Drug War.

New ad shows a chick smoking a joint at a party and then from a pipe. She stumbles back all wasted (looking like someone who drank about a fifth of vodka, not somebody who gets blazed). Then the guy next to her on the couch starts to molest her chest. Then the camera pans away as she mumbles "no..." and we get the fear inspiring slogan:

Marijuana...still think it's not dangerous?

Makes me wonder why they don't have the same type of commercial for booze? Oh yeah, that's right, because the government makes billions off of taxing the liqour industry, even though it causes lots of rape, drunk driving, murders, fights, and generally thousands of time as much damage as marijuana does to society.

Way to spend our tax dollars "Dubya".

I suggest you watch a documentary called "pot", narrated by woody harrelson, extremely informative, gives a good insight as to why Cannabis is illegal......hmmmm don't you just love the american government

Yeah I really liked that documentary... There's a site on the internet which has tons of cannabis related documentaries stored which you can see online, but I forgot the URL....

The war on drugs is absolutely pathetic. I have been a long time advocate of legalisation of merijuana. It looks like the Candian Government will at least be decriminilizing pot soon, which is a step in the right direction.

By the way, there is another excellent documentary called "Grass" i rented it at blockbuster of all places, very informative.

I agree with alot of what is being said here, its all smoke, mirrors and properganda in the UK and US, no real research has gone on to give firm evidence of what they claim, and its never compared to anything legal, ie alcohol. If they could earn off it in the way that they do with the legalised drugs, and not lose face, theyd do it.

There's one where a chick sculls heaps of spirits at a party and then screws a guy and regrets it afterwards... and it cuts to her if she had stopped at one drink and just shows her having fun at the party...

Another similar one where a dude get's smashed and starts a fight then gets beaten up and his friends leave him on the street.

In the add, there's some bonghead dude sitting there ripping cones, and his friends are telling him that they're gonna be late to the party... eventually they're leaving and he's like "nah it's ok guys i think i'l just stay home" and he keeps sitting there ripping the bong by himself like a fiend. I thought that was pretty realistic.
I'm all for legalising weed, but i've had a few friends turn into bongheads like the dude in the add, so it's good to inform people about how weed can fuck you up if you let it get out of control.

Just shows some chick having fun at a rave, and then depressed afterwards crying and her friend telling her "you've just got to take things easier". Then cuts to another scene where she's fighting with her friends.
