Soon I'll be spending money on a setup, piece by piece because I don't have a big wad of cash to dish out off the bat...
Regarding a mixer, I'm really impressed with Allen & Heath and would like some feedback on the negatives and positives of the Xone32 and the Xone62! the xone32 looks really nice, cept for the gain knobs on the back of the mixer (weird)...... but yeah, just dish out your comments

both are AWESOME mixers you cant go wrong!
if you can afford it, the 62 has so much more functionality.. but to me it's overkill, so I own the 32. the 32 is TIGHT. I didnt want the 4band EQ's either.
super smooth box.
if you do go with a 32, get the pennes and giles crossfader option - the stock fader will wear out and doesnt feel as smooth as the p&g fader, of course you can wait until it wears out... the stock fader lasted me 2 months then i had to upgrade, but the p&g fader has been through 5 months of pure abuse now and it's just fine.

^^^ for real - get used to an A&H and you are straight spoiled!
i should also add - the 62 (and the 464) come standard with the pennes & giles fader... where as the 32 comes with a standard rail-based ever-so-short-lived variant.

hehehehe!! *excited*
yer the 62 looks like an overkill... well actually, it's just the 6 channels that looks like an overkill for me. On the other hand the 32 looks like it's really basic... is it?? I know it's a great mixer but is it missing anything essential?
about the P&G faders, what does it cost to upgrade them, and are we talking only the crossfader or also the channel faders? Oh, and what's the going price for a 32, 62, 464?
mmmmmmmmmmmm A&H... sexy

The 32 is pretty basic.. but it's got more than you think:
crossfader curve control . REALLY smooth EQs . pan on each channel . transmute . VCF filters . level meters on each channel . booth and aux outs . mic EQ . crossfader off function . crossfader reverse
are some of the (less common) features youll find on the 32 - there's not much it really lacks *except* EFX SENDS ! (my biggest complaint right there)
I paid about $130 for the P&G fader - not cheap! it's only the crossfader, the channel faders are fine.
only had one problem with the mixer in the past 7 months of so that i've owned it: the cue pan fader (small slider) got all crackly.. but thats one piece i abuse the hell out of, somehow got in the habit of slamming between cue and mix. I left the fader crackly for a few weeks to get in the habit of not abusing it, and its been fine since. they sent me a replacement part under warranty

wow 130 bucks (usd??) eh! that's one expensive fader. (dunno if it's expensive in comparison, but yer, lots of dosh!)
well damn, the xone sounds like it has shitloads more than you'd think it does from taking a quick look at it! thanks for that meridian btw..

a send/recieve audio loop for an external effects box.
edit/add: $130 isnt too bad for a good fader. from what i hear vestax charges almost that much for thier PCV fader and it doesnt last NEARLY as long.
the pennes and giles faders are NOT rail faders - they are made from a special conductive plastic that is flexible - thus, the chance of bleed or damage is really low. they claim to be rated at two million (abusive) cycles.
