New mix of tilt rendezvous????
Just got an MP3 labelled, Hemstock & Jennings - Rendezvous - promo vinyl 2002.
It does have the main riff from Tilt - Rendezvous.
So is it a mislabelled Hemstock & Jennings remix of Rendezvous?
Cheers
Nick.

Yeah, it's a remix of the Tilt and PvD classic by Hemstock & Jennings. Because they let PvD use the vocal sample from "Arctic" by Hemstock & Jennings in "Nothing But You", PvD in turn let them remix Tilt & PvD - Rendezvous under their own name. It's a pretty good remake which gives it the familiar H&J sound but I prefer the original from early 1998.

Yeah I prefer the original as well. Still a good remix though.
The original always confused me because it is basically exactly the same as 'invisible' but without the vocal.
You would have thought it would have been called 'invisible' (instrumental mix)

True, but "Rendezvous" was around a long time before "Invisible". It was released on Perfecto in January 1998 and at the end of 1998 Perfecto's deal with Tilt ended. So Hooj signed them up and due to the success of "Rendezvous", they decided to re-release a new version of the track with vocals. They got Dominique Atkins (Grace) to perform the vocals for the track and got a bunch of new remixes and i guess because of the main vocal hook, they named it "Invisible" when it was finally released in April 1999.
