I`ve been reading alot of posts on the best Trance song and I see a lot of people say that PVD For An Angel is the best ever , But I don`t agree there are many songs out there that just kick its ass , take Robert Miles / Children , the song is written and produced a lot better the song has a lot more emotion that comes from the heart than the so called best Trance song For an Angel . I also think that Robert Miles is one of the most talented song righters in the world , that stands for any style of music

i agree..
for an angel and children are possibly one of the best tunes ever to be made.. it may be not mentioned a lot because of how much its played and its sometimes attributed to being 'boring'?? =p..

I agree a bit with everyone on this thread Those are two excellent songs you are naming and I believe they're both the best, but in their own particular style. They sound very much alike but in fact they are an accurate definition of two very similar trance styles: Epic ( For an angel ) and Dream ( Children ). I didn't even know there could be a style difference between these two but it seems like there is... I honestly don't know which one is better but I guess that if I had to give away a gold medal then it would go to Robert Miles....
By the way, check out this excellent webpage: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/content.php?id=10479

If i should choose a winner here, it would no doubt be children It was one of the tunes that got my road towards trance. I don't have words to describe that melody...
I bet everyone have more than one favorite song, I have many as well but if I should choose one I choose an oldie but very good track Cygnus X - The orange theme , I have a version that I have never seen or heard from napster or any compilation. I got it a couple of years ago on a burned CD from a friend.
I will have a link to it here for a few days. Download it and see if you recognize the mix. Just rename to "mp3" after finished download. Use also right click and "save target as"http://hem.passagen.se/djsteve/cygn...orangetheme.jpg
OK...finally I get to thank Robert Miles in some thread here...cos that song Children he composed is the very reason I started listening to Trance.
Also does anybody else think 23 am is a classic ??? I tore the cassette listening to it so many times...there are tea stains on the album cover.

I have the mix u posted here, and it's labeled as "Rare Tony de Vit Remix".. The problem is, i checked up on Tony de Vit, who btw went away in 98, and i never found this remix in any of his discographies.. I think this is either the original mix, or maybe it's an unreleased remix by de Vit.. I would like to clear this up, it's been bugging me a while.
Wicked track btw. Specially the Bervoets & De Goeij & Moonman mixes
all pvd productions blow!!! and "for an angel" is nothing special either....Now robert miles- children is a different story... That tune has meaning... I guess there is a long ride on the bandwagon for pvd... Some people need to just get out and explore for there is soooo much better stuff out there....for listing "for an angel" as their favorite tune tells me they havent explored...

dont get me wrong, i like for an angel... but its too commercial!!!!!! i have and always will stick with the progressive underground, there is such a better variety underground then the average commercial trance tune.
