but also uve fucked it if u play somewhere that aint got technics...

i would always say learn on shit decks... it makes ur learning much deeper and detailed. its a peice of piss to beatmatch on techs, a 5 yrold could prolly do it. if u learn on shite decks then whatever u play on in the future will be a lot easier...

for example.. i currently own numark 1625's... ill be the first to admit they arnt that brilliant in terms of torque, but i can mix pretty well on them (when im not stoned ).. now a few weeks ago a few other UKTA's came round, they couldnt mix for shit because they all have techs or other mega-high torque decks, and aint used to playing on crap ones now not all the clubs dj's play have technics, so if u plan on being proffesional at some point u have to be equipped for the worst case scenario

well, you made a point there tu_face. I think its something like this : shit tt>quality tt>shit cd players>quality cd players where shit tt needs the most skills to master and quality cd players least.
But, you have to learn all 4 because every situation will be different. If it's just for fun and hobby don't buy very expensive. You'll probably never get the money out of your investement. If you plan to make it your job go and get yourself some technics because 90% of all clubs have them.
