Here's a serious answer.
Paxil has proven through medical study's to be extreamly effective w/ teen adolescence, depression, anxiaty, ect. Yet I've said this before there are some serious side effects with this drug. Drousyness, sexual side effects, ect. Depends on the user yet in most cases there are side effects.
Paxil takes about a month or so (sometimes two weeks) to actually take affect on you, could even be more depending again on the user. So if it isnt working after a couple of days dont give up, it'll eventually kick in. Its very effective once it starts to work. You may need to take two pills one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Im not too sure on this but I think 2 pills w/ paxil equal 300 MG (150 single). You'll have to ask you doctor to make sure. Only thing is that Paxil actually makes you gain weight. There's an alternative if that doesnt work.
Another drug called "Wellbutrin". This is 150 MG, works really well also with depression, anxiaty, ect. Its also used for helping people to quit smoking & helps you loose weight at the same time (clinically prooven). Here also you may have to take two everyday like I stated above w/ paxil. Not too much side effects here at all. There could be but will eventually fade off. Same though, take a little while to start to work.
I would also suggest that you go to see a psychologist. Not any ordinary psychologist. Get a school counciler or something of that nature to aid you in finding the best one possible. The psychologist should then review your case and tell you which medication he thinks will work most effective while at the same time helping you with your probelms that your having.
There are other things besides depression that could be wrong with you, you may be Bipolar which is very common in most cases, and never know it. Lets say your Bipolar, depression / anxiaty medication will not work. There are specific medications for that. When you talk with a counciler he should be able to pinpoint what specifically is wrong with you. He will then let you know what he thinks is best for you, your task is to be very open with her / him (your option on the sex) so they can know for sure. If you go see a counciler that you dont feel is helping you go see another, there are many out there that can help you.
Depression / Anxiaty is very common now a days so dont feel bad / ashamed about it. Every Nine out of Ten people are on some kind of depression medication. Its a chemical imbalance in your brain that can be fixed. Overall you should see a complete turn around with the medication with time. Medication is the answer.
Hope I could help.

god, dont give people that advice. wait till you stop taking it and realize how fucked up your seratonin and dopeamine levels are.
aplz: you could say i have a type of anxiety disorder... i get anxiety attacks. they are directly a result of my seratonin and dopeamine levels being fucked up, because of my several years of mdma usage. i have tried taking different kinds of medication for this, including lithium, buspar, and recently, risperdal (tho i have to stop taking that too, because its making me shaky and feeling ill in the mornings).
you really need to see a doctor. just because you are depressed, doesnt mean you suffer from clinical depression. for example, i get REALLY low and REALLY high at different times... again, being caused by how fucked up my seratonin and dopeamine levels are. but its more like, major mood swings, not necessarily always wanting to die. i used to be quite suicidal when i was 15/16, i was diagnosed with BPD.. not depression. i dunno, just goes to show you that you might not be suffering from what you think you are at first glance.
regardless, a doctor could help you a lot more than we can. there are all kinds of medications and all kinds of diagnoses. i wouldnt go into it with an attitude like "im depressed, heres the medication i want to try"... instead, tell him/her your symptoms, and they can help you out. also please keep in mind that the first thing you try, might not help out right away... and even if it does, it might be a mild help that takes awhile to really do anything. and no matter what, please remember that just a medication wont cure your problems. if you want to start being happy, you will probably have to start changing your attitude about life, or your habits, as well. there really is no such thing as a happy pill which changes your life instantaneously.
