I'm going to be in college in Toronto in a few months and wanted to know what the scene is like over there. I'm into Trance/Progressive and even some good House (NYC Style House). So gimme the lowdown on good clubs, DJ Line ups or anything relevant....

I heard the rave culture is pretty strong in Toronto...(In the states it's almost dead !!! ) I really wanna go to an underground rave just to feel the difference between that and the usual club atmosphere.

Toronto is mainly a HOUSE town, all the clubs are into House and R&B now... while other clubs are into Hard House, its very hard to find something with good trance.... although we do get international DJ's comming in...

I'd say Toronto is more of a progressive city at this point. Just check out system on Friday nights and you will see what I'm talking about. Week in and week out Breathe is BANGING!...as it was this past friday with Anthony Pappa.

But TO does have a strong Trance following as well. Other than that I couldn't tell you, because I honestly don't concern myself with anything else really....

Toronto will not dissapoint you...

The scene in Toronto is great.. one of the best parts about it is the people who are all, for the most part, really cool.. 2nd best, are the local dj's - who are much more talented than many international dj's out there.. Deko-ze and Mark Scaife are just two that come to mind, but theres MANY MANY more. As for the 'raves' themselves, there are some awesome ones and ya just need to figure out what your style is, but the clubs are awesome as well.. all around, theres usually always something to do.

I have to agree with Viceroy... Toronto is more of a progressive city. I personally love the rave scene here, and if you like DnB/Jungle, then Toronto is probably one of the best cities for that outside the U.K.
Now being that you like Trance/House then "The Guverment" on Saturday nights(mostly prgressive trance/house) would be a good club for you to go to on weekends, check Systems Soundbar on Fridays.
I'm someone who goes to raves more then clubs, so it's up to you on what you want to go to.
If your gonna be stayin on a college campus in T.O. then you'll most likely meet alot of ppl that know where to go in the City.

Hey there are always good trance parties in Toronto ... you just have to look for them...
The rave scene here is gone.. it had it's moment though
