working for the promoter works quite well. My best method is waiting around after the set. And as you can see it works quite well. The only Djs ive not gotten that I wanted are Carl Cox and Sasha. Armin was the easiet, Steve Lawler was the hardest(shockwav and I waited outside for over 1 hour for a signature.) If I dont catch them then, I talk to the promoter and see whats going on the next day. Thats how I got armin to sign my tables, he was tired and wanted to go back to the hotel, so I met him the next AM in the lobby and had a nice chat with him and Erica. Got the tables signed(which doenst exist anymore, putting it next to the pitch was a bad idea, it rubbed off)
so ya...wait next to the entrance before or after the set, but go early...like 15 minutes before hes done, because others have the same Idea. Have a pen handy, as well as what you want signed. Dont be all stupid when they come around, act normal, say a few kind words, and thank them. Ask for a picture, dont demand it....ya
and if that doesnt work, try following them. Im serious. I chased Tiesto down for the 2nd autograph I got(I have 3) He laughed and loved the poster I made. Thats another thing..try to stand out, dont bring the same CD everybody else is going to..ya alot of mine are on flyers, but the Tables and poster and t shirt are the most loved. They seemed to enjoy signing them, as opposed to like ok ya sure.
thoser are my tips
