dj phu,

The Sennheiser HD 580 is a great choice - for listening to most types of music, especially classical and jazz. But you'll need a decent headphone amp in order to get anywhere close to its full potential from that 'phone.

As for DJing, the 580 sucks for that purpose: It's open-air, which guarantees that the loud club noise will completely overpower whatever beats that you'll hear from that 'phone. And it's not as durable as some of the bona-fide fully-closed DJ headphones.
