I e-mailed Garfield yesterday to ask him about rumors that Stereo is re-opening and that he is going to go back, and also to ask him if Edgar V is still gonna be at Mercury this Saturday and this was his reply...

Edgar v has been moved to Jan 18th
as far as the new Stereo (Loft 120) goes i have to take the 5th for now
see ya saturday

That sucks about the Edgar V show, I recently found out that Mercury has cancelled Suzy Solar's show there as well. Hopefully the new Stereo will book both Suzy and Edgar to make up it.
