Who's the Heismam?

Who do you think should win the Heisman, and why?

Personally I think it should go to Larry Johnson, he rushed for 2000 yards playing on a good team in a good confrence. If Ken Dorsey wins ill be Kind of pissed because while he's a good player, he's not even the best on his team, and its not an mvp, or a lifetime achivment award.

My top 3: (in no particular order)

1. Palmer
2. Larry Johnson
3. Leftwich

Leftwich would probably be the handsdown winner if he played for a major program. But let's face it, he plays for Marshall. They don't have an overly demanding schedule.

Johnson had a good season. He was consistant for the most part week to week.

Carson Palmer, after coming seamingly out of nowhere, has exploded in the past few games. His performance against Notre Dame was phenomenal and should definitely give him notable consideration for the award

Damn Right!!! It's not a career award, nor should it go to a good player on the best team (i.e. Miami). Yes I'm biased but it would be a shame if Banks didn't get it. Johnson is good but what were his rushing totals in Penn State's 3 loses?

The only reason Dorsey and Mcgahee are Heisman canidates is because the have a great offensive line. I feel that one of these players will get it.

I hope Palmer wins it cuz I go to USC. Palmer in my opinion is the most improved player and a great heisman canidate. Gessler is another great quarterback, in my opinion better than Palmer.

Last but not least we have Johnson and Clarett, both with great speed. This is a tough choice.

I think Dorsey will win it

Brad Banks won the AP(Associated Press) Player of the year, because many of the people who vote for the heisman also voted for this award, I think he has a good chance of winning it, and he certantly at least deserves a look. However my personal pick would still be Carson Palmer he had some of the best qb numbers in the nation while having quite possibly the hardest schedule in the nation(usc was the only team in the bcs t25 at the end of the year that played vs only one sub 500 team, and had big games agaisnt notre dame, washington state etc)his only downside is that he isn't all that mobile.

Please don't let it be Palmer!! BOO!!! I expect it to go to Dorsey or McGahee and am cheering for it to go to McGahee or Clarett!

Not knocking Dorsey's talent, but I think he'll make a great backup in the NFL, but that's about it. The future of QBs is people like Vick, not the pocket passer, I feel. I think McGahee and Clarett are gonna be great stars in the NFL in a couple years.

Hey Terry, what do you know

How can you not like Palmer? Although I do think it will go to Dorsey just because he's the senior.

I would like it to go to Clarett though

Its a shame non of our two Huricanes players got the Heisman, Theres always this huge fuss about the Heisman, Having the heisman to me is more like bragging rights, Its like saying, Just cause he has the heisman, Hes the best player there is, Well, Not true, There are players out there who dont have the heisman trophy and they are the best, Our Miami Huricanes will destroy Ohio State on the national championship and show the world who are the real winners of the sport, Its a team effort, Winning the national championship is more rewarding then one person winning some trophy saying hes the best.
