So u discover this huge "reset" button....

in a cave, or whereever. Hehe, point is: You're able to format everything (history that is) and start the history of mankind/civilization all over again. Assuming that no1's completely satisfied with today's world, and some things cant be repaired anymore ever..What would u change in the beta version ?

ah, the reset button theory, i know it well.

I've often fantasized about it. I would push this button without a moments consideration. that's right, i'd kill you, your family, your pets, your girlfriend, and all their hopes and dreams. I'd eradicate human kind off of planet earth, and leave only the plants and mother nature.

It is an interesting discussion to have with people. Some will acuse you of being a murderer, of hating life, wishing pain on people. I don't. I hope everyone is happy, and i love life. However, i think it would be better if we started all over again.

I'm reminded of a quote by Maynard James Keenan:

Mom's gonna fix it all soon, Mom's coming back to put it, back the way it oughta be.

well, i wasnt answering your statement, just the first one.

i see now what you refer to...tho removing human life is anti-climactic...since there are no hairless apes to philosophize on the state of affairs!

if a society is fucked up, and there are no voices to discuss it, was it ever even really fucked up?

lol nice idea... funny stuff...
kinda reminded me of this one thing i saw a while back on an animal documentary...

of the greater apes we are most genetically like chimps and suprisingly they share a lot of our social actions (leaders, agression, groups, rivalries, etc). if i were to press the restart button i would wish that on the evolutionary path us humans would have evolved more closely to gibbons rather then chimps. gibbons are almost like chimps except they have different social structure that seemed almost utopic (such as no dominance of one over another)... anyways i dont remember the exact info but it was just a cool thought

I'd build a huge empire, back in the old ancient times ( Mesopotamia etc.) expanding it (if necessary by brutal slaughtering) and spreading the idea of anti-materialism. Kinda like the attempted Communist Wold Revolution but ages before the devolepment of extensive trade/capital. Basically establisahing a social utopia before any1 can come up with a better idea. Then we'd see how things develop. This would show if egoism(materialism---> capitalism) is inherent or a social structure.
