Smiley DJ Review Of John 'OO' Fleming At Arc, NYC (01-04-2003)

Looks like I got home 1st? Underrated - that's one of the things I got to say about John 'OO' Fleming - he is kickass in my book. He played some great classics and some great newer tunes - F0x and Daniela def know one of the newer tunes I am talking about - isn't it ironic Arturo - I'm talkin about PVD and the track and 10 minutes later Fleming plays it - xcellent!
Great to see all the TAs I saw at Arc: John (pyro), Tom (EnigmaT), Daniela (Lunasea), Brian (kidnyce), Liz (ny1004), TA's incredible hulk, Arturo (specially when Fleming played Capetown - Pitstop), Melissa (butterfly), Highmay - was great to finally chat at a NYC club event w/ u, tek, and all others - I gotta to cut this short cause I got a work meeting i got to be at in less then half an hour.

Fleming was gr8!!!!!!
Tracks I recall!
Three Drives - Sunset On Ibiza
M.I.K.E. vs. John 'OO' Fleming - Ice Cream (Original Mix)
Highlight of nite for me - Revolution 9 - Love is the Weapon
Laterz all - I love trance and I love TA
Have a great sleep to all who are hitting the sack...
I'll prolly post in this thread again - actually - hmmm - ya... for sure!!

yeeeeeheeeeeaaaaaaa!!!!!! j00f foreva! heehee

he kicked so much ass.. at first he played this really hardhouse stuff and we were like woah, easy there joof... and then i guess he noticed maybe we were expecting other stuff and wanted more people to dance so he whipped out classic tunes.. soooooo amazing-- i almost died when i heard Sunset on Ibiza.. holy shizzle!

and i agree with alex-- 'the moment' was The Weapon for me as well.. wowza. i went bonkers.

i also stayed for the whole of Dinaire's set-- he Really Rocked it.. you guys missed More good stuff!! he played more pvd, and i'm so delirious right now i can't even think of what the hell else he played but he ended his set with a Kick Arse remix of Enjoy The Silence.. Quality!!

But hey!! Gosh, where ewas Taub and Arleetec and Sot!?!!?! We missed you fools!! however, it was always a great pleasure seeing the rest of you... alex, aaron, jdat & cute friend, brianna john, tom, liz, brian, ar turo, highmay, melissa, etc i love ta tooooo!!!

it's now 10:16am.. Goodnight!

What the hell is happening to arc. TRANCE

I had an amazing time last night. Johnny boy started with some housey progressive stuff that was ok. Then like Daniela said he started to work some historic classics into his set. Bye the end of the 1st our I was struggling to name every other track.... alot of new stuff. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST

I want to thank everyone who was there last night for being really nice that girl I brought

But I remember this as clear as day, me steph and Victor are chilling in the back room. Vic turns to me and is like.. OH SHIT! hes playing sunset in Ibiza. I didnt think it was at first, and then the synths kicked in and I knew what was going on

I jetted to the floor and danced my ass of the rest of the night.

The Jumping Giant was in full effect at Joof

moment of the night...............
When Victor played toms CD ( Green Martian~ wisedry)

Arturo went BUCK WILD!

And again YOu guys are the best.... Jaymee, brian , Arturo, Akko MELISA , Daniela, alex, Tom, ARTY, Tae,Arron, Brianna, Issac, LIZ, J dat, And the man of the night VICTOR DINARE (and anyone else I forgot)

Flemming was great. Most of the stuff he played was regular Trance. Not hard trance, but not soft trance either. His set sat on the borderline between the two. Within the first hour he threw down some really great euphoric tracks which no one could ID. I think he did about 2 or 3 unknowns in a row. I think I remember hearing Junkie XL feat Saffron - Beauty Never Fades, and Dj Fire - Jetlag in there along with the other songs mentioned. Victor Dinarie played a banging set after J00F. He played Circa Forever, PVD - Avenue, Guide me God, and a bunch of other known tracks. I gave him a CD with WIzardry on it and he even played that.

Overall, It was a wild night. I think I'll skip Jeff Mills next week and left myself recover for Matt Hardwick.

whaaaaaaaaaa!

I just woke up... im so sore from last night. I was still recovering from PvD last friday (27th) and now im really dead my legs were really hurting last night, but it was really good.

J00F played an excellent set. He started with some progressive and techprog, and then followed with good trance, what I was waiting to hear

Some tracks I remember.

sasha & jxl - beauty never fades
three drives - sunset on ibiza
capetown - pitstop
revelation 9 - the weapon (grinder mix)
energy 52 - cafe del mar (j00f mix)
mike vs. j00f - ice cream (mike mix)
tiesto - lethal industry
a few j00f songs and lots of unknown stuff!

I had a great with the people there. Daniela!, Jamie!, Mike! and his friend, Mel, Bree, Liz, Tae and Akikko, Brian, Jdat and his friend, Art!, stringfelowhawk, John!, Tom, Alex and Pete (miami stylEEE).

Arc is a great place, quite small, sound is good, and it's too dARK!

we stayed till Victor's set was finished, around 7am. omg he kille me so hard with Wizardry and Guide Me Fox WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

some tracks he played:

katana - fancy hair
pvd - avenue
ghostland feat. sinead o`connor - guide me god (pvd mix)
armin - yet another dub
green martian - wizardry
dee dee - the one (green martian mix)
jamx & deleon - mind made up
enjoy the silence (unknown mix)

he played some great songs I forgot alredy

Overall, I had a great time! omG! I think the TA crew was critical.. where were you guys

I hope it will be bigger for PvD in February.

xxx
many greetings,

arturo
