it's come to my attention as to many others that we first off have no mods in this forum ...... anything being done about that ( I know that it's more a decision to be made by superior mods then just our talk to be had )
secondly, as many of you know , we constatly get threads of the likes:"beginner advice, what first mixer, what decks" and so on ....... why don't we get a thread that would be sticky and have everything in there ( cause obviously most people that start these threads have no idea of the use of the Search button and even doing that can be confusing at times ) .......

Well I am actually your mod, I mod all 3 amateur forums. And I haven't really seen the point in stickying a thread which could cover so much material so quickly and with the market moving along at the speed that it does. I think people will find it more annoying that the n00bs are not reading what has already been posted in one thread than just using the search button, the headphones thread only stayed as it did because of gluegun's effort into it, albeit a tad biased
if u are willing to put forward you case to me i will think about it some more

well, tell u whatm start a new thread and i'll close this after u av replied, but u must take control of the new thread (like gluegun) a bit to stop it spiralling away, if it fails, it'll get deleted, so save your writing
this has been a thought on my mind for a while
i posted to see if people who frequent this forum thought it was in a need of a new mod but no one replied
i've offered to take on the role as mod considering i don't do much else but sit around and play records and post on here
however, i do think something needs to happen in terms of the overflowing amount of n00b posts
maybe a sticky that has the idea of telling people to search before posting a question that pertains to turntables, mixers or headphones
just have it there closed and available for people to look at

well i am the (relatively) new mod in here, so please don't start asking to be mod coz i was rather lucky to get on as it was. but the role of mod isn't to go to every thread and say oi you, use search. the sticky thread is ultimately flawed as many ppl tend not to even look at them, eg tracklist/unknown track/faq forums amongst others. there is a headphones thread but people often start their own threads, same with the cds vs vinyl effort, imo there is relatively little point in it, but i am willing to give it a shot seeing as there is already strong feelings for it.
but be warned, the topics in there will be very diverse and seeing as u want to have power so much, help take control of the thread then...
