That low sound @ the beginning and the very end of the track should change it's pitch to fit the bassline.
The bassline ain't bad at all, some variation / delay could bring it up a notch.
The panning (stero) percutions are pretty good but too dominant and also there aren't enough other percutions in the track to drive it.
At the point where the bassline becomes melodic there isn't enough "bang", like, there should be the feeling of emotion bursting into the track.
Nice atmosphere when the main theme comes in! From there on it's all good except that synth at the last 2 secs of the file... WTF?
>>> Take (or do not take) these notes to consideration, and congrats on a good choon! |
thank's oDrori.. offcourse i will follow them.. i know i need comments and some help.. i'm not that good as some others here are..
anyway... the bassline... you think it's good? about that i don't know about the bass is becaus i have made some different one's and i liked the first one i had, but it just fitted in the beginning of the track, when all the other percussions and melodies came in it didn't suond that good caus you didn't really hear it..
the lost love sample i think i will record again caus you can hear that it isn't that good recorded.. but you don't like the mystic with it??? hmm.. i wanted it that way, but if anyone else don't like it that much i might just take it away....
the low sound... you mean that string/melodie thingie???
hmm.. maybe i should change it.. or do you mean the melodie that comes in sometime after all the percussion have come in and the melodie that is playing in the end when the piano is also playing???
about the bassline i have been thinking of some delay... i have put some on it, but i haven't really worked with it... i put it in just after i added it here..
the percussions.. you say i should put more into it??
have any tips on what kind of percussins??
where the bassline becomes melodie.. you mean the first time... you think i should fix the kick to make it more banging???
the mel at the last 2 ses actually comes in when the piano comes in, i noticed it know that i had added it without notice it.. that will go away right now.. so it shouldn't be there..
i hope that all i have said make's some sence.. i just came home.. have been drinking some, but i think it should make sence.. i hope
i'll read thour it tomorrow again when i wake up
thank's for the comments.. i apreciate it much

thank's for the comment... you 2 Endre |
You've (partially) misunderstood what he said... I think we both meant what he called the "Bassy Swell", that low sound at the very beginning that also appeared at the break and the ending of the track, you should probably pitch it up to the same note as the bassline.

For example and off beat, open hihat or closed hihat etc.
basically you'd want the various layers of hihat to combine into making a "rolling" feel.
The basics work well to achive that (As well as the off-beat bassline)

No, the kick was fine, what I meant is that maybe you should add a crash, put the "Lost Love" sample, or a "woosh" sound, to give us listeners a small goosebump... Make us feel like the track just progressed to the next level.

1. oh.. i think i understand what you mean now
2. i know it's personal taste... and the recording disturbs me.. but it will probably sound the same, but hopefully in a little better quality... if i know re record it.. i'm lazy
3. hmm.. ok.. will play some with them
4. ah... good idea.. will try something out.. have an idea now, but now i just need to get it done.. the hard part :/
the most irritating part right now, is that the pluggin i used for the bass didn't save the settings i used so know i have to redo it
