Before I ask this question,I do not wish to be bombarded with historical lectures, but I was wondering where does this guy Keoki rate underground/club wise.Is he formerly a dj,does he actually dj in clubs or is he more pop/money orientated? I cannot stress i do not wish to offend any of his following, I just heard some cuts recently and read some hype about him on napster.
If he is really big-time and a sound guru from early days, sorry for asking!?
Another one: why does US trance sound so different to euro productions,is it just the cutz I heard or is the difference really that obvious?

first off, i think i can speak for most of the people in here, Keoki sucks ass! hes really popular in the gay scene, and pretty much was the star dj in the early 1990's at the infamous limelight club in New York. he is a respected dj to alot of people, however he didnt play the role of a "professional"dj..he has been fighting several battles with drugs and alcohol. read more on him in this months MIXER mag!(may) hes on the cover

Keoki sucks
I live in Orlando since 1994, and Keoki was a frequent visitor here. You could see him here and there on different occasions. One thing is clear: he never draw attention or a good reason to go to the club he spun at. Quite a few times he wracked his sets by passing out on the turntables, and one time after his set @ Firestone, he passed out on the bathroom floor after a few lines of coke But dispite all that I still had a good time at the clubs and I liked some of his early sets. The last few times I saw him in the clubs here sucked! So, that's pretty much it.
