Lodewijk Verminnen aka DJ Freez failed in his attempt to set a new world record for the longest DJ set last month. The Dutch jock had intended to pound his wheels of steel for 75 hours straight, starting Dec 18 at 11pm. Sadly he collapsed after 71 hours, just one hour short of the existing world record by US DJ Martin Boss. Norris McWhirter was unavailable for comment. Probably.

That would suck, you pass out onto one of the turntables and cause this huge trainwreck and eveyone just shakes their head at you.

I thought he was just playin in the local recordstore and on the pic I saw, there were only like 5 people there, so eh, not too many witnesses for a trainwreck... That must be boring, playing 3 days for a croud which consists of like 0 people
a couple of years ago, in the day i bought my deck's, i just started mixing (and didnt stop once) for 3 days straight (and i do mean exactly 72 hours). the only reason i stopped mixing, was that the cops were banging on my door for i-dont-know-how-long. after that obviousley - i slept for about 40 hours....
and i was playing to a crowd of 1 - myself...
would that have made a world record?
nowadays i need a much bigger crowd to stand that long....
