Voicing opinions is fine and blah blah [insert free country retoric here] but when the number of posts goes against the purpose of the forum their in...
Besides, I'm sure more than 1/2 of the TAs here couldn't either care less about reading useless banter and quibble.
I'm not saying world events aren't important, but if I wanted to be bombed with heavy duty politics, I'll go watch the news, read the paper, watch a movie, etc., etc.
There's enough negative vibes during the day, we really don't want to come home and see a post at my favorite escapism website.
After a while, it all begins to melt into one amorphous jumble of words and disdain with lots of questions and few real answers.
And in my opinion, the political forum fits the bill perfectly...
