well, i finally picked up some new cartridges (ortofon PRO OM. the silver ones) to replace the craptastic ones that came with my tables...but this brings up 2 questions.

I don't own those cartridges, so I can't help you with #2. But in regards to #1,

I know this may be difficult, but after putting on the wires, take one of those very thin electrical tightener-wrench-thingies (don't know the term lol - they're used for bending small wires), and squeeze while the sleeves are on the connectors.

Not sure if this is feasible, but it's worth a shot.
