being maybe the biggest xenogears fanatic ever.....i have been waiting for this game or 6 years. xenogears was part 5 of 6, while xenosaga is part 1 of 6...this game is gonna kill featuring 80 hours of gameplay and 30 hours of animation. OMFG i reserved my collectors edition (110 US$) with a shirt, collectible items, and a tin box, and a pack of the xenosaga trading cards. omfg...i need to play this....

Wow, a diehard Xenoaddict here I see. $110 for that package? I'll have to tell my friend about that one, he's an addict also. I think I'll just reserve my copy without all the bonuses (even though they are nice, that's twice the amount of what the game costs). Xenogears is a excellent game, definately one of my top 5 RPGs...I hear that they are going to remake it also because Square did not let them do it how the wished.

Xenogears is an amazing game. I'd have to say it's second only to FF7.

I just hope Xenosaga can match it.

If xenogears was part 5 of 6 and xenosaga is going to be part 1 of 6. Where are the other parts? I only played a bit of xenogears so I don't know much about the series.

They will be making all of the parts to the series in the future...they have restarted from the beginning and eventually even Xenogears will be remade. This is probably going to span numerous generations of systems.

The original team of developers has broken away from Squaresoft and started a new company called "Monolithsoft" which is part of Namco. The team broke away because Square did not let them do things the way they wanted (and you can tell this by the second disc of Xenogears which is mostly text).
