ok, im new to trance and techno. i used to be a hardcore rocker(yeah man!) you know, megga death, black sabbth, jimy hendrix, all the good rock bands. then a few weeks ago, my friend chris had this techno cd (Club Space), and he had it so loud every one on the bus could hear it. i yelled at him" Turn that fucked up shit off!" he got all pissed of and said "you shouldnt make fun of stuff youve never even heard." so he handed me his cd player and BAM, it hit me -- this stuff kicks ass! im not saying i dont like rock anymore, i just love techno.

how did most of you start likeing techno and trance?

Well actually, I just started listening to techno, trance, progressive house.. you know all that good stuff about 3 months ago. Yes also for me, the first time i heard a techno song i was like whoa i dont like this. But, I was just immature and didn't know what the hell i was talking about. I was introduced to all of this about 4 months ago when i met my now boyfriend. Without him, I wouldn't be into all this good stuff

ahhh nothin' better than bouncin' to a killer trance choon or laying back and letting the music enrapture you with it's soft melody. trance gives ya best of both worlds.

oh yeah, and how i got started....hmm...i stumbled on it meself i guess. but my love for 'electronic' music surprisingly started with good ol' video games. hehe. some of the music in video games like final fantasy 1 and mega man are great! hehe.

yeah seriously, A LOT of my friends just call trance and electronica in genearl 'brian' music. because it's what I listen to...*scratches head and shrugs*

The first time i became really truly addicted to trance was back in '98. I had the odd trance tune downloaded and had burned my first cd for a trip up north to visit some friends. I ended up getting pretty hammered that night and dropped my first hit of 'e'. When that kicked in that night...i was tranceformed. Never looked back since. It took a pill to show me the way to these kick ass styles but since then i've learned to listen/feel the music the same way sober. Thanks to Grace-Not Over Yet, PVD-For an Angel and Binary Finary '98 PVD Mix for showing me the way and bringing me to world I now know.

Well I pretty much grew up with electronica. My bro has been spinning D&B for as long as I can remember. In about grade 6 or 7 I started listing to ambiant. I went through a brief breakbeat phase about 4 years ago but that was BRIEF. I stared getting involved with the party scene about 2 years ago and thats when I started listing to Trance, I liked it so much that a year later I started spinning it. I was alos luky ehough to start doing work for Pure Productions in Vancouver, the owners love there trance and it has given me an oppurtunity to meet many DJ/producers at there parties. Anyone who lives in Van will probably remember Pures last few events: Mixmag tour, Slinky inter-continental tour, Seb Fontaine @ the rage, and for there next one there haveing the Renassance tour with Nigel Dawson.
