Any suggestions on a good read?

Because of school I haven't really been able to do much reading for fun. So during the little free time I have I want to start doing some reading of my own. Anyone have any suggestions on any good books? I hear "Tuesdays With Morrie: An Old Man, A Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson," was a good one. Anything else?

Vurt or Pixel Juice by Jeff Noon. Vurt is a full novel, Pixel Juice is a collection of short stories. The guy is amazing and the stories are very heavily influenced by dance culture imo, really trippy stuff, some of it will leave you in awe!

and 1984 by George Orwell of course if you havn't caught it yet.

requiem for a dream - hubert selby jr.
last exit to brooklyn - hubert selby jr.
catcher in the rye - j.d. salinger
the case for christ - lee strobel
the sun also rises - ernest hemingway
a farewell to arms - ernest hemingway

i can't think of anymore titles at the moment. clockwork orange was a good recommendation as well. try to get the full 21 chapters copy and not the american edited 20 chapters. the last chapter makes the story rather interesting. i like a lot of american lit. just find something you enjoy and keep on reading.

"lord of the ring" <<< only if u like long readings...cause if u read the first .. uve got to read them all...

or "the bluest eyes" (toni morrison)The book illustrates the desire of a child who cannot stop measuring herself against standards of whiteness.
it is really sad.. but it is a really good reading.. and it is only about 250 pages long.

"the millionaires"... i am reading it right now... one of the best books i've ever read... i mean if u are into the whole FBI and CIA shit.. this guy hires a cia agent to investigate his life as if he was a criminal.. so this books just basically shows u the steps that are taken in the cia.. like they can find out anything about u buy searching ur garbage trough satellite and stuff.. it is pretty interesting to me cause it relates a lot to my mjor...

Brave New World written by Aldous Huxley in the early 1900'2 about the future of the world.... This guy was heavily into drugs but the things he has the future world doing is soo similar to what scientists are pioneering now (i.e. genetic engineering). It blows my mind to think that someone in the early 1900's had the imagination to see what could be capable when there wasn't even a hint of that technology at the time. I personally think the book predicts exactly what our society will become. I read it as required reading in high school and since then have read it about 5 times. Everytime I discover some new insight...definetely check this book out.
