I've had a pair a while now so I'll be able to give you the information you need.
(1) The torque is fantastic, all you could possibly need.
(2) Platter stability is excellent, and you shouldn't have any problems with needles skipping - especially with the straight arm.
(3) Connections between the headshell and tonearm on both of my units is a little dodgy. There's a constant slight humming noise and occasionally it'll lose the left/right channel. This is a minor annoyance, not a major problem though.
(4) Pitch accuracy isn't all that great. Certainly not as accurate on a pair of Technics tables. As I don't touch the record/platter when I'm mixing anyway, this isn't much of a problem. As long as I keep making those small adjustments mid-mix then I can get a nice long mix out of these tables and you probably won't be able to tell the difference when you listen to the finished product.
Overall a worthy product, and if you can get them fairly cheaply then they are well worth the investment. Although it has to be said, if you can afford it, go for the techs. Saying that, they have helped to improve my mixing skills dramatically.
Any other questions, just shout.
HL.
