Recording off real player?

Hey guys.. i know this doesnt have anything to do with d.j'ing but i was told to post here for my answers. Just wondering how one can record music off of real player. I was on the clubGLOW website and saw all these amazing sets from great dj's.. but you can only play them and not download them as an mp3 file. Can anyone give me any advice as to how and record these streaming ram files? I would love to burn them on cd.

1) USe for example SoundForge or WaveLab....in recording properties of your soundcard chose "What You Hear" (maybe u'll need to add this in "properties section" then just in SF or WaveLab press record...and you'll get what you whant
2)use software named "Total Recorder" itinstalls in your system like another soundcard.....after that you have select it as default soun driver,and in "totalrecorder" just press record....it can record in mp3 or wave...

What u need is...

Real Audio Wav Recorder

Feature:
--------
*This software can play all kinds of real audio files and record them in PCM WAV format.
*It has resampling function with good quality using Digital Signal Processing algorithms.
*A great tool to help you create your own audio CD
*Allows you to play (optionally record at the same time) either online or locally.
*Can select multiple files and play/record continuously as a batch job
*This is a free software for personal use only. It has been tested on Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0. It is a beta version. Run at your own risk!

You should first install a RealPlayer from the RealNetworks, Inc. Rawavrecorder need some of the dll files.

Known bugs:
-----------
1. The resampling function does not work for all PCM formats. If the original format is 16 bits it can not be resampled correctly into 8 bits, and vice versa; if the original format is stereo, it can not be resampled correctly into mono, and vice versa.
2. When connected to a remote server to play a presentation, the end of presentation can not always be detected. If you are recording, you have to click on the stop button to stop playing and recording.

Commands
--------

File -> Open Files
A standard file open dialog box will be popped. You can choose one or multiple audio files. To choose multiple files, press Ctrl or Shift key in cooperation with mouse click or arrow keys. If you have opened multiple files, you can choose batch mode, which allows playing and recording continuously.

File-> Open Location
Input the Internet address of an audio file to play online

Play->Play
Start play or resume the paused clip

Play->Pause
Pause the current playing clip

Play->Stop
Stop the current Playing clip

Play->Record
This is a two-status menu item. If checked, the player will record while playing; otherwise, no recording will be done. This setting only affect the next played clip.

Play->Batch Mode
This is a two-status menu item. If checked, the player will work in batch mode. All the opened clips will be played continuously. Otherwise, the player will only play the current selected clip

Play->Previous Clip
If multiple files have been opened, the previous file will be played / recorded

Play->Next Clip
If multiple files have been opened, the next file will be played / recorded

Option->Configuration
A dialog box will be popped out which allow you to set options. You may choose to record or not record while playing. If record option is set, another file with the same file name and .wav extension will be generated. If the original file extension is ".wav", then the new generated file name will expand a "0" at the end of the original file name. Any existing file with the same file name and extension will be overwritten without prompt.

You can also choose to resample or not while playing. If you choose to resample, the new generated wav file will be resampled into the specified PCM format.

The resample function is still not perfect. If the original PCM format is 16 (or 8) bits per sample, the resampled PCM format must also be 16 (or 8) bits per sample. If the original PCM format is stereo (or mono), the resampled PCM format must also be stereo (or mono). Also, the resample for 8 bit samples has NOT been tested.

You can also specify the destination path. All the new files will be saved to that directory.

hmm

I downloaded that program but I didn't work for me, it would never open the website, so therefore I could never get the music to play... I figured that it might be because the website wasn't in the format of: http://www.whatever.com/media.ram could that be the problem? Because I was trying to record off BBC's radio player. n the address is just: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radi...tml?newyearseve
like that is there another way I could try to record or something. Thx in advance.
