Marco V was definately the best DJ 2002.

And this for several reasons:

-stunning own productions, his remix of Cafe Del Mar was soo popular! Con:Fusion was such a boom! And yet so unknown! Respect!

-his playlist was one special experience! After every set, we (TAs) had to guess the tunes he played, and they were so much quality!

-his mixing skills evolved! His live-sets could be sold as mixed compilations!

And yet, he is not overrated at all! People don't run around naked when hearing of Marco V!

But that's not all: Marco V is just starting out this year, plenty of unreleased, fresh stuff! His playlist changes a lot, but never loses the power he uses to play nowadays!

He always surprises with new stuff, his producing style is not getting lame and boring, just listen to the variety of those tunes he uses, this slamming bassline, those beautiful strings, those wicked ideas he implents into his productions!

For me, he's definately the DJ of the year 2002!

very good, yes.. but i wouldnt put him as dj of the year for 2002.. maybe its cus i only saw him twice hehe

but as far as productions go, hes been somewhat lacking in the originality department for the last 6 months.. theyve all been sounding the same, you can just guess what they r gunna sound like before u put it on the deck.. whereas the previous productions in say 2001 were all much more different

Everything sounds like it's seemless. And he's quick too! He puts the record on and after 10 seconds he has is spinning the way he wants it.

He makes it look easy.

Any DJ can do that. All it takes is practice and if you have a preplanned set going into a gig you know at what speed the next record is going to have to be at to beatmatch it up.

But I do agree with all of you. Marco V is mos def one of the top DJ's out there.

finally some appretiation for this guy..i think he is great and doesnt get enough credit and i met him and he is such a friendly and a nice guy..

yes very nice and friendly , he deserves to be in the top 10 of the year

I saw him twice last year and he was awesome both times
so what if fell asleep near the end of the second set

Yeah, I think Marco V was fantastic last year!
Con:Fusion = the best album of 2002!
