i was reading a post and someone mentioned that if you mixed trance music .. u should NEVER EVER EVER get a numark mixer.
is that true?
Quite alot of people have been mentioning that numark does just not make good mixers. how about the 3002x?
i am starting this threat coz i am confused on getting a mixer .. price range that of around numark 3002x. behringer released a new 3channel mixer. but it does not have kills,no meter on each channel. it is a slightly lower end version of VMX300, which i intend to get, but i have to wait 2mths before i can get it,which frankly i cannot afford to wait.

I don't know what they were talking about. I think that line (the Numark DM-3001X, DM-3002X, and DM-3003X) is really good for the price. Obviosly they are not as nice as a Vestax or something but I think in that range they are the best. For the best price/features check out the lowest model, the DM-3001X it is 3-ch but no kill switches (just rotory kill) and only one LED display (can show either master out or cue valume). I got mine for only about $130, that is cheap. I have heard only good things about the other models in the line as well.

DON"T BUY IT!!!!!
I did and am forever regretting it. Very poorly built. The master out sends a very weak signal that can't possibly be line level. The cross-fader just died one day. And i know its not the fader, because i replaced it and its still dead. The punch in and out buttons cause signal distortion on whichever channel i use it on. Umm.... what else...well, i guess thats about it, all these problems started to occur only 6 months after i bought the damn thing. I'm never buying Numark again. I suggest you save a little more and buy something quality like Vestax, Allen & Heath, Pioneer, Rane, etc...

Well i've used the Numark DM3001X for a year now and it still works fine for me...everything still works, great mixer i think for that price
It seems that lots of people have had problems with there numarks, mine works fine. I would suggest get the numark if you can get a good deal on it, that way when it starts to go south you willn't feel ripped off. You should be able to find nice cheap DM-3000X or 1X or 2X because I think that whole line has basicly been replaced by the Matrix 3 which I hear decent things about.
I picked up my DM-3000X for ~$120 USD and do not abuse it or anything. I would say that my switches and everything are fine (my cheap version does not have kills or punch) but they are made of plastic (which is to be expected in this price range). My x-fader is getting a little crackly so I better start to learn to mix with the volume faders .
