I would definatly recommend against getting involved in something like that. The way they explain in on the site, the only way they could make any money is for the list of people to get extremely long.
i.e. for every one person to get the mixer, 10 people have to sign up. By the time those 10 people get a mixer, 100 people will have had to sign up.
They kind of explain it here http://www.goraks.com/dj/howitworks.htm
Needless to say, if you are not near the very top of the list, you have very little chance of getting what you want. And I don't really trust their money back policy.
The best bet for inexpensive quality equipment is still buying used on eBay. I was able to get a used Technics 1200 Mk2 for under 200 from eBay and it still works perfectly.

here's the answer to all of the questions:
http://www.matrixwatch.org/modules....ge&pid=2&menu=8
"This is the problem with most of the lists out there today. The lists are too long, and 98% of the people end up getting ripped off because there are not enough new cyclers joining to help "cycle out" the people still on the lists. In fact, as of May 8, 2003, the EzExpo website listed 3,731 names in the 50" plasma television matrix, and only a small handful of people have signed up in the last three months. Rather than being a 5-person matrix cycle like the example above, this 50" plasma TV matrix on EzExpo is a 50-person matrix. The #10 person on the list needs to wait until 500 people join, number 100 on the list needs to wait for 5000, etc. All the while, the list starts growing larger and larger."

thats the thing, theoretically, if you were the first person on the list, and 10 others sign up, there would be enough money in the "matrix pool" to buy it and you would receive the mixer legitimately for $85 . . . everyone else is just screwed, because theres no way anyone else wants to sign up after that.
