i FINALLY got a keyboard to use via USB and MIDI.. and I have come up with this little main melody.
please.. this is very early in production.. and is lacking almost everything but the melody! the drams just fade in and out at the moment.. and are NOT the final kit.
I wanna know what you think of the melody itself.. including the build up.
let me know what you think... and what else I shoul do with it.. what sort of backing? what sort of intro etc etc?

Not bad at all, but either loose breakbeats alltogether or keep them going all throughout the breakdown, then 64(silent beats) of just pure melody, then start of buildup(next 64beats) half way(at 32) on 33rd beat bring those break beats back to 64 and on 65th beat bring in your normal bass line. I'd filter out the break beats line also to a bit higher pitch and change the melody to something that would sound less electronic, sorta piano(ish). Other than that very nice tempo, KEEP GOING!!!!

Hmm... I'd find another sound for the pad... or just make it phatter...
Also, the drums seem to be very simple and don't really work.
Anyways, since this is very early production I can understand that... the melody sounds good... but there's something in it that bugs me... I'm not quite sure what it is.
Sounds very familiar, can't quite put my finger on it, but I know I've heard it before.

Finished!
Hey guys. Thanks for the feedback.
I have finished the song.. to some degree. I would love it if anyone here would like to master it and essentially fix up all the levels and fine tune stuff. I'd be happy to do a "Starsurfer Vs YourName" title for this song. It is a reason 2 file.
its very ploddy and sounds completly un quantized...synth souds are very weak too
its got promise but it sounds thrown together in 10 mins

Your main melody synth is not in sync with the rest of the track, it seems as if you shifted it a notch and it's causing desync problems.
Pretty nice tune, if you master it right and fix some issues it'd be a nice tune.
