I think you will be very much disappointed in the Oslo clublife as a trancer.Ever since the last Goliath party in 01(Metropolis was more of a hardhouse event,even tho it had its share of trance djs),there are as good as no trance events in the Oslo clublife at all,since most of the norwegian trance djs split abroad (Switzerland(DJ Jamie) and the US (DJ Stigma))when they got fed up with the constant trance bashing from the house elite in Oslo.Then of course there is the problem that all the big trance events get painted black by the media and overrun by cops,which forces the events to have low age limits to pull in a big enough crowd.This again makes the clientele less then memorable etc. etc.It's fucked,pure and simple.

If you are into house however,Oslo is a great place to be,with lots of quality djs and clubs,mostly norwegian,with many big guests from around the world.The prog scene is also getting better,with ppl like Slacker and Sander K coming up,while Dave Seaman and Nick Warren already have played there.Techno has also got its foothold in Oslo,but not 4/4 techno as such,it is more of the weird and minimalistic variety.

Clubs have licenses to 3am,me thinks.Opening times vary,tho.PM me the date you are coming,and I'll PM you back with some of the events that will go down that weekend.

Hopefully the norwegian scene will feel the effect from the swedish scene which is growing soo much at the moment! With Djs like Tiesto, Corsten and Gielen all in the same 6 months we are truly getting a better clublife here

Im sure norway will get there soon enough
