I cue it up at the first beat of the track also so that I have no doubt that when I release the track, that I release it in-phrase. Just because I cue it at the first beat doesn't mean that I play out the song either. I usually start the cue track when I know the live one is in the middle of spinning down at the last break. Then, by the time the last break is done, the cued track is almost at its first break, hence this gives you about 30-50 seconds to assure yourself one final time that everything is beatmatched etc and you have a tight mix as a result!
