why is b0onzai blaming it on mp3's?

dont they understand the genre they were in is not extactly profit making on vinyl/copyrights alone. plus the fact the genre was pretty much an underground thing. most people in fact have no clue what they hear when they go to a trendy club (no so much on the european side) but the majority still has no clue. plus 95% of people do not invest in turntables etc to play singles

how did lighting records attempt to make profit besides vinyl and single cdr releases?

this has already been discussed.

not sure if bonzai really believes that, or they're just gay and can't admit to bad management

the easiest way to deal with the problem is to blame it on someone else

IMO they're using the whole mp3 excuse as a scapegoat for other problems.

I've said it once and I'll say it again...if it were not for the MP3 I would not have discovered trance.

Without mp3's i wouldn't have found it either, or the friend who forced me to download it, well, not forced, but it's a long story. Shortened, told me to d/l this one song, so i finally did and loved it, here i am today (2 1/2 years later)

Damn straight, without MP3's, I wouldn't know about 80% of the trance that's out there, and therefore, wouldn't buy it on vinyl.
I download tons of songs, and the ones I like, I go ahead and buy on vinyl to spin.
I'm sure not everyone does that like I do...but come on, blaming it on mp3's is rediculous...half the people who download trance on mp3's would never buy vinyl, and the other half probably do buy vinyl after they hear the songs on mp3...

Companies DO get bankrupt cause fucking idiots like YOU download WHOLE cds...Mp3s single files are fine but if you want a full CD then you buy it.

I'd like to see their pre file sharing program sales as compared to now. Most likely lower then today.
