1) Tradition ... most DJs started out with vinyl when there wasn't pitch-adjustable CDs. Most new DJs just followed the footsteps of the older ones ...
2) Better control and accuracy of mixing. It is a lot more natural to see your music and directly manipulate it on the turntable platter than to push buttons and mess with the jog wheel on a CD player.
There are a lot of myths about better sound quality floating around but I highly doubt that anyone could tell the difference between CD and Vinyl (both in ideal condition) on an average club system - it is just too loud to be able to hear the characteristics of the medium.
