just wondering .. some of you might know that PVD is a strong advocate against war in Iraq as well as a peace activist. (Visit his site www.paulvandyk.com if you don't know what i mean). Much of his music even tries to promote peace and understanding between peoples. It's the power of trance !
anyways, hypothetically if he chose to cancel his North American Global DVD Tour as a sign of protest of the War in Iraq (not to be mistaken with any ill feelings towards citizens of Canada or the US). Would you be in support of this or not ? if so why / why not .. ?

its odd cos i was thinking of posting the exact same thing but i didnt cos i thought people would hate on me....i hope he doesnt go to US but comes to canada.....it will teach those adamant left wing extremists who listen to trance a lesson
i think if he wanted to take a more effective approach he would be better off to take a few minutes from his set and adress the issues to his fans (who knows if they would listen...or be in the a state to remember what he even said) but i think cancelling would just piss people off and im pretty sure george bush wouldnt care.
Nope sorry.....he's a fucking dj and I pay for my ticket and if he fucking cancels...he's a fucking asshole. Not that he will do that (prays to whatever God loves trance).
I think these dj's should just keep spinning and keep their opinions to themselves.

if he feels cancelling his tour will get people to reconsider their stance on war (too late to avert war on iraq) then all the power to him... its his tour, his time, his money and his opinion...
i personally feel he could promote peace by continuing his tour though. he can bring something good to help us through these bad times...

i personally think if he cancels the tour, it would mean NOTHING.
PVD is not god or G W Bush...he can't stop the war by simply not showing up. He would be pretty damn concided if he thought so and i don't think PVD is full of it.
My best solution: to show up as usual, do his thing, MAYBE adress the fact of war and that it's bothering him but not promote any demonstrations since PVD is a peace activiest, there is nothing peacefull about a rally

I too would be pissed if it got cancelled. I just don't agree with "these dj's should just keep spinning and keep their opinions to themselves".
