LOL Erin you be funay. Well, do you roll your face offff??

My dad says it sounds like a Bugs Bunny cartoon....(when he's beating his drum or something).

My mom has actually done that little head dance too...
And she always asks me if I'm going to a "rave." The media has so many people brainwashed.

my parents dont mind it. they are actually interested in the DJing aspect (techincally, etc) and try to learn what it's all about. Actually kinda cool, I play sets for my parents sometimes and they actually enjoy it (when it's not too loud)

I once popped in PvD's "Out there and Back" and my mom liked it, that is the ONLY trance she ever liked when I played it (apart for the Ian van Dahl stuff). My dad just thinks it's filled with JUST bass and pokes fun at me because of it (calls me "spaced out" etc) lol. My uncle (who happens to like classic rock (Floyd) is getting into PvD also because I got my cousin into it. On a side note, WHY is this board soooooooooooooooo addicting??

my dad hates any music of mine. no matter what volume i have it on, he wants it lower...
he complains there's too much bass, even after i turn my sub off, and the "bass-boost" on my stereo off,and the volume is relatively low. i swear, i could plug my headphones in, crank it up, and the headphones would be playing louder than my stereo would be if my dad had his way!

which reminds me, im gunna turn it on now, in spite of him!!!
(i dont care who it is! too loud? too bad!) maybe if he actually took time to listen, he would think differently...but alas, my dad is a narrow-minded asshole...(i dont have a problem sayin that either...he hates me, and tries to pin everythin else that happens on me, too. he completely favors my little siblings)

my mom is supportive, but pretty much indifferent to whatever music i listen to.

and my aunt loves dance music. she has a couple of friends that are house djs that fly around to different cities and play gigs. she comes with me every time i go out to buy records, and usually picks up a cd herself.

Seems to be that mothers are the more open minded when it comes to trance...

Hehe, my mother hates trance and almost everything electronic music, she thinks it's al just some noise with BAM-BAM-BAM over and over..

Then again my father loves uplifting, especially vocal trance, like Chicane's Saltwater or Autumn Tactics (Thrillseekers Remix),.. i've made him several CDs full of trance, chillout and some sweeter prog like James Holden, Lemon8, and so on.

But i haven't lived with my parents for years so i don't need to care that much. I just visit them occasionally and "update" my father's trance collection with some new tunes.

My dad thinks it's ok, and my mom reffers to it as the "dum dum ecstasy music"

my parents once said that the music repeats itself over and over...and something to the effect of "how can u keep listening to that same stuff over and over"

then again, they havent complained much, not like when they complained back in 93 when i thought i was a tHuGG and listened to gangsta rap. oh boii, they REALLY didnt like that stuff.
