KarateKid Do you have a "progressive" DJ name?

I've always noticed how many progressive DJ's like to go by their real names .. almost like there's some phobia in terms of using an alias..

it's a shame since my real name doesn't sound "progressive" enuff then i guess i can never become a real prog DJ without legally changing my name..

so my question to you is, do you have a progressive name? if not what would you change it too ..?

here's a list of known names that could be "progressive": hehe..
1. Charles Xavier
2. Bob Saget
3. Mats Sundin

btw. someone should make one of those name generators where u type in ur real name and out churns a "prog" name ..

when i was trying to think of a dj name i figured i would just use my name...but then i realized my name absolutely sucks for a dj name haha

so then i just opted for something really stupid and lighthearted(i.e. Kid Lax )

a name can only get you so far

Are you trying to be a progressive dj? what hapend to trance?

It does matter whats your dj name is. What is matter is how good you are and what material you can bring to the crowd.

i know, i'm not saying that all prog DJ's use their real names, just that a large number of them do, esp. some of the most well known ones... (in the GU series)

hah no .. i'm just saying that if i ever was a progressive DJ i would never be able to use my real name since it doesn't sound sauve enuff ..

btw. hav u guys noticed that a good "PROG" DJ name always seems to have one syllabus in the first name, and then 2 syllabuses in the last name .. ?

ie.

John DIG-WEED
Dave SEA-MAN
Nick WAR-REN
Steve LAW-LER
James LA-VELLE
Seb FON-TAINE
James HOL-DEN
Tom STE-PHAN
etc..

Locals:

Matt COLE-RIDGE
Brad COPE-LAND
etc..

and then you hav the complex exotic name guys like ..

Sander Kleinenberg
Hernan Cattaneo
Satoshi Tomiie
James Zabiela
Desyn Maseillo
(esp. those Italian sounding ones .. they always work)
etc..

the one-two punch names are always effective as well ..

Luke FAIR
Greg GOW
Deep DISH
Max GRAHAM
SA-SHA
etc..
