i think it would be more of a hinderance than anything! unless he was trying to clean it from static?

...I know what you mean.
I have all sorts of static problems with my vinyl, which varies from record to record, attracting tons of dust.
Anybody know if this is correct? why would you not just use an anti-static dust wipe? Computer stores usually carry them!

splashing your records will destroy the label on them

its used for cleaning, sometimes with soap its quite good.
the only problem with anti-static dust wipes are your "pushing" the collection of shit around the vinyl, and sometimes that isnt really helping

Maybe he wanted to create a waterfall effect with his music.. LMFAO who knows.. maybe for cleaning.. or give the sound that underwater talk effect?
he wasn't spinning it live as he splashed water on it did he?
Or maybe he was so hyped up that he was sweating all over the place ans sweat landed on the vinyl, therefore he had to clean it since sweat has chemicals that may ruin vinyl? anyone doing bio-chemistry @ college?? LOL
Really who the beep knows.. u should have just asked him...
