Idea Question about synth notes

I have the following setup for my synth:

Note that it's "broken" and I want it to be this way.
However, the synth plays as one continuous note (with no delays).
What setting do I need to tweak?

Probably "release". Try making the release value smaller and see what happens.

If you want it to sound like a chopping effect or something, try out a slicer or gapper.

I would say get a look at how long the "hold" is in the volume envelope. It would probably have to be smaller.

brash is spot on IMO. For a synth sound to die quickly, you need a very short release on the amp envelope.

A quick attack, maximum sustain and quick release will probably give the sound you want.

Check you're not running any delay for reverb effects that are obscuring the end of each note.
