wma's have protection in them meaning you cant convert ot mp3 easily using software (it could be done with a older version of winamp and a mp3out pluggin, but microsoft requested that this be stoped)

there are workarounds as theres a program that lets you messaround with your line in's etc (used when recording streams etc) but i cant remember the name of the software

I was looking for something like this just this past weeekend,

I found that Advanced WMA Workshop 1.81 worked pretty good, the convertion result was pretty good comparing rm to mp3, so I was pretty happy.

Now I also was recommended CDex but couldn't make it work, so went back to AWK.
