In September 1999, "Mixmag Magazine" elected him as "Man of the year" and "Muzik Magazine" named him as "Leader of the Trance
Nation". For the past five years he has maintained his position within the top 5 in "DJ Magazine’s" annual list of the "Top 100 DJ´s worldwide" (2002 - Ranked #4). His hit singles "Another Way and Tell me why" and "We are alive" spent several weeks at #1 in the German Dance charts and also reached #15, 13 & 7 on U.K. charts.
Paul van Dyk is an ambassador fluent in the universal language of electronic dance music. His peaceful message transcends borders and inspired him to create his first mixed CD in 8 years suitably titled "The Politics of Dancing" (Ministry of Sound). This year Paul released his 'Global DVD/CD' (Vandit) compilation which showcases both his musical talent and his cosmopolitan nature.
