I met PVD this friday and in the little time i got to talk to him i asked him about his new tune with second sun Crush and any info on its release date. He said it will probably be released around november (doubt it) if anyone was wondering (i've read a few threads about this tune) so i figured you would wanna know what the man himself says.

thnx for the info, but i have a question, why do all you guys like second sun so much, i have heard empire and the spell and crush, and none of them grab my attention.

I think, it's a matter of personal taste. To me, Empire is one of the all time best songs .. it instantly puts me into a trance and the build up / breakdown ... fc**** awesome

As for the Crush release info, thanks mate. I wonder tho, is PvD busy making a 'Club Mix' for that ...

I am absolultey head over heels for Second Sun. They are right up there with Gabrielle and Dresden in terms of back to back to back quality tunes. Empire has one of the best buildups i have ever heard, and i am absolutley confused to why PVD didn't keep that or work on that buildup for his own mix.
The Spell, great great great. It's definently one of the best male vocal tunes ever. Lovely and breathtaking.
Crush isn't up to par with these two tunes, but wow, experiencing it live must be heaven. I would blast them on my speakers, but i know that i might cause a neighborhood disturbance!

second sun are not just good trance producers, they are unique. they have their own sound, its evident in the bass, beats, and music....one of them does vocals, and the vocals are also very unique and used in a musical way that complements trance very well, that is, adds to its intensity and has ups and downs and build-ups that tear the roof off.

i think empire was awesome. original mix was even better that the politics rework. extremely climactic and pushing.

as for the spell and crush, they are the proof of second sun's unique talent. they are doing something different.... their music can be appreciated by more than us electronic heads. in my opinion, they are doing it right. i love the flavor they have brought into electronic music in general, and to pvd's label and sets. quality, intense, driving music that causes you to feel what they created.

go second sun.... i want many more!

I do like Empire, but I prefer PvD's remix overall. The original has a better buildup, perhaps, but the TPOD mix just has a cleaner, more professional sound.
