Is real hip-hop dead? and will Trance take over in the following years?
A few years back I was a hip-hop fan but after seeing that it is all became commercialized I turned to Electronic music (trance). Have any of you had the same experience? and if so do you thing that real hip-hop (not that pop shit) will become extinct and if so what kind of music will replace it, in the US and also around the World??

Well he's been coming back since he died so who knows, I personally think it's just a hoax.

I came from Hip-hop aswell, but sincerely, I hope that, in a year or two we'll be happily saying "Yeey, hip-hop is dead!"

yeah, same thing happened to me... was a real huge fan of hip-hop back in the mid and late 90's, but after its been so commercialized in the past couple of years i've found myself going more and more towards electronic music.(mostly trance) Now its basically all i listen too and occasionally listening to some of my favorite hip-hop tracks from back in the day, dont really like much of then new stuff comin out these days.

2Pac's dead. It's been around 6 years since he died. And even if he were to come back he'd go right back to jail. It's very illegal to stage your own death.
Secondly, hip-hop will never die. Alot of people think that because their tastes change that the music they used to listen to will die. (e.g. Uplifting trance). Hip-Hop is still dominating the charts. There are too many people who love hip-hop too much for it to EVER die. Same with electronic music. There is plenty of really good hip-hop coming out right now. You just got to know where to look.

i used to listen to hiphop/rap until 2 yrs ago. it was all the same crap sex money and hoes. no matter how fat and ugly are the rappers they still rap about it. trance is a pure bliss although i still listen to the old school rap from time to time
