i totally disagree. why do you want to stick a producer into one category and leave him there? so what if someone wants to make a house record, and a trance record, and a techno record, etc etc. fuck, more respect to people who can produce multiple records across a variety of genres!
sometimes i cant believe the attitude on this board. should dance music really be so exclusive that only people in 'the scene' should have the privilege of listening to it? who cares if the track is on the radio...obviously people like it, so more power to puffy and deep dish for making the track, regardless of their motives ($$).
personally, i think the track is garbage, but it really seems to do well in the clubs. just give it a few weeks of airplay (8 times/day maybe?) and it will die off like the rest.
