Behold, my arse. What do you use?

Now we've all read the flame wars that go back and fourth with people arguing whats better.

But what do you use?

Personally I have
two ADJ PS2 and would of gone vinyl if I had the money. But records just cost 2 damn much.

Vinyl. But i got my start with mp3 and computers. I have mucked about with CD players too, and i'd like to get some.

HOWEVER, CDs are just as expensive, at least if you are legit about it.

vinyl...

its reasonably expensive and can be hard to get hold to (compared to dodgy cdrs).

But its best for mixing with, and has a great warmth in the sound (yer right.. ).

Ditto, same here, pc for recording and mastering, as soon as my business license comes in the mail, I'll be using my pc as one of the production studio equipment.

On next years Income Tax, Im writing off all the DJ equipment I bought, stating that I became an entrepreneur and DJing is a self-employed business. Turntables, mixers, cases, styli, repairs, and VINYLS can all be written off as business expenses. But but but, you obviously cant write off more than you made. That would be quite foolish. Ooooooo having hookups in the Income Tax field is sooooooooooo good.

Who said you can't? Businesses do loose money, but if you were to do that, make sure you have a legit business license. Mine is under my partnerships Label name called Mafiya Beatts. It is a new label that My partner, a silent partner(investor) and I have just started. Anything in the negative figure is a tax REFUND.

I dont think you need a business license if you are self-employed, Ill ask my boss. But dude... If you write off more than you made... that means you had money coming in from elsewhere. If you spend $4000 on equipment and you only made $2500... where did the other $1500 come from? Than questions arrise: Are you cheating the government? Are you making money that the government doesnt know about? Got tax evasion?

Not exactly, what if I put it on my cc? also if no business license than you are NOT an entreprenuer, you are what's called an independent contractor, becuase people hire you by name and make their checks out to personal name, whereas my partnership is the one that's going to get hired and checks will be made out in the partership's name. back 2money thing, loss moneys amount could have came from anywhere, cc, previous savings, profits from prior years, loans, grants, investors, etc, non of that is any kind of taxable income, actually non of that is even income at all.
