i gotta tell ya all this, happened to me today. I was driving across town to visit my mom so I turn onto a side street, it’s a one way, and this big ass old caddy is coming straight at me. I cant see anyone driving but I drive up the curb onto the sidewalk and that car sideswipes mine. Then I see the driver is a 100 year old woman, shes so scrunched down behind the wheel, she cant see outta the car. I jump outta my car and run down the street after her, yellin and screamin and beatin on her window. She don’t stop til she gets to the intersection. I don’t know how it happened but a cop was drivin by just then so I kept waving my arms and beatin on her car til he stopped and came over. He asked what was the prob. That old lady was complainin that I was harassing her. I tried to keep my cool and explain that she hit my car and kept driving THE WRONG WAY ON A ONE-WAY STREET. So anyway she got a ticket for hazardous driving and I got another dent on my car. I dunno why they let them old ppl drive, get em off the streets, I say, like make em take a test or something!!!

Thank god here they have to take the test every year after 65 and if they fail, that's it for their drivers licence.

This one time, me and my dad were going to Shoppers Drug Mart. We park, and as we're walking towards the store, this old lady slams into the back of our van with her caddy as she was trying to parallel park. She didn't hit the van too hard, but enough to but a small dent into the bumber. We were like "wtf?!?" (politely of course, with the utmost respect). She was like "oh I'm sorry, I mixed up the brake and gas pedal". We were like: , and I was half laughing my ass off

So anyway, this officer nearby comes and is like "what happened" and stuff? So anyway, to make a long story short, in the end, we were like "you're going to get yourself or someone else killed lady, you should stop driving". Her response: "Don't worry, I'm only going to be driving for 7 more years until I turn about 65".

I saw a show on TLC once in England where this old grandma had to retake the driving test in order to keep driving. It was damned scary at how badly she failed. The US should definetely do something like that for old drivers.

That's pretty bitter - and somewhat arrogant. Give yourself 50 or so years, and you'll be just like them, driving like shit if you're still driving, and all out slow in everything. And you won't be aware of teenage pricks who are making fun of you behind your back.

I think some old people are really cool - you're just not factoring in that ASSHOLEs get old too - and these are the old people that start saying, "i'm too fucking old to care anymore, screw these people" ahhahahaa.

George Carlin said we should have a beer lane on the freeway, which makes sense if you protected it from the rest of the freeway. I think old people should have that lane too.

i plan to die at forty. people talk behind my back all the time. im sure there are people talking behind YOUR back right now. who cares? not me.

old people should not drive, especially on highways
