Thinking of buying a DJM-3000... are these good? Any experience with them?

Just bought my first set of tables, 1200 MKII's. Now I need a mixer and I'm looking to get the DJM-3000. Has anyone had any expericence with these? Commments? Complaints?

Thanks!

excellent mixer, same effects as the djm600, but no sampler, and a lot cheaper. I would love to put the rotary option in, but it's not cheap. Maybe if/when the x-fader dies i'll put the rotaries in as well, cos i find the channels a little sharp at the bottom of the curve

The DJM3000 is certainly the best of the DJM series... It's a 600 without the sampler and a few other useless things, and alot of little additions. It also seems to play smoother than the 600... and it's not so dang huge.

but, IMHO, your money would be better invested in a rane empath or allen & heath xone series mixer.

But, the 3000 is still a great box and does the trick well.. I just dont think it's quite worth $800 or so. all the DJM's are a bit pricey for what you get, though..

I just picked up the Allen & Heath Xone:62 for $924.00. To put it plainly, it's the best mixer i've ever worked with.

I have played with the DJM 3000 many times at a buddys house. It's quite an amazing mixer, much like my DJM 600 in many respects, execpt for the obvious featurs (3000 being 19in, not having sampler etc.). But it does have some cool effects for the cross fader, it was fun for a bit, not very usable for what I'm trying to do with, it may be for you, but if you were to get any of the DJM pioneer series mixers, I would hihgly recommend the 600. Its the best for your money, and you get much more respect having it, and YES I do use that sampler like its my job. I use most of the effects, and for trance I love this thing, if there is anyone in Nashville who has an Xone 62 I would love to try it to see how much better this mixer ( with no effects) is better than my 600 for home and small to medium club use. But let me say somthing about my 600, i got it for 700 bucks thats why I bought it, the 3000 is usally cheaper than 600, so really if you dont need a sampler( if you tink you wont use it), than get the 3000, and save your money, just remember the mixer is huge though, but you do have the option, like someone else siad, to have the rotry option, which would kick some serious ass. It was like this for me when I was deciding between TTX-1's and 1200's, I got the TTX-1's and havent regreted it yet. Happy hunting!

holdup, the sampler on the djm600 is hardly useless
but that said if your not going to miss it, go the 3000 - its a beautiful mixer
