is there a decent free host out there?

Basically, i dont care if they dont allow mp3's, i DO care if they have a low file size limit/horrible bandwith/5 megs of space

Yes, i've tried tripod/geoshities etc, but i'm well and truley sick of their crapness...

all free webhosts are going to offer low file sizes... prob around 2mb max...

if you want to host your mixes / tracks / songs... youre gonna have to pay for a host...

i use netfirms.com (http://www.netfirms.com/hostingbasic). although they limit individual image sizes which kind of is a bummer for me since mine is a wallpaper site. they do however tag a banner at the top of your site though. it doesn't matter to me since it doesn't cost me a dime.

1 and 1 seems almost too good to be true. How long has anyone been using it?

1and1 is a huge domain host in europe. They are probably the biggest in the world. The free deal is pretty much an attempt to steal customers from other compaines.

I have used it for about a month now havent had any problems, yet.

Some details:

5 GB a month bandwith
500 Megs space
50 WebMail/POP Accounts (with Domain Name)
Free Sub-domains with domain name
Microsoft FrontPage Exts. & Perl (CGI-Bin)
PHP, JAVA, SQL
24/7 FTP Access
Technical Support via E-mail

Domain name only 6.95 a year.

For 1and1, it seems you have to give a phone number to activate the account, and on the fields in the reg. form, the only countries listed are Canada and the US.
